Angie Sticker, Licensed Professional Counselor Associate

Supervised by April West, LPC-S

Hello! I’m here to help you build a life you truly love. I get how overwhelming life can feel, whether you’re a parent trying to support your family through the pressures of school and social media, an adult juggling work and family, or a couple dealing with relationship struggles. I’m here to walk alongside you, so you don’t have to face it all by yourself.

I take a warm, down-to-earth approach to therapy, focusing on truly understanding your story and meeting you where you’re at. We’ll have real conversations; sometimes we’ll laugh, and other times, we’ll sit with the hard stuff. No matter what, I’m here to help you feel heard, supported, and safe as we work together toward healing and growth.

With 17 years of experience, mostly as a school counselor, I’ve worked closely with teens navigating anxiety, self-esteem issues, and family challenges. I know the unique pressures young people face today, and I’m passionate about helping them build confidence and resilience.

As a wife and mom of three young adults, I also understand how family dynamics shift over time. The changes that come with growing up or transitioning through different life stages can be tricky, and I use my own experiences to connect with families and individuals through those transitions.

I’m passionate about helping people, whether you’re a teen, an adult, or anywhere in between, build confidence, gain clarity, and find the tools to handle stress and life’s ups and downs. To talk more about how I can help you live the life you deserve, reach out today!

Charlie Sticker, Therapy Dog

Charlie is my 3-year-old miniature Labradoodle, and he’s a special part of the Bramblewood Counseling and Wellness team. Before joining us, he spent three years working alongside me as Katy ISD’s first-ever therapy dog.

Charlie’s goofy, warm, nonjudgmental presence makes him a favorite in my practice. With his calm demeanor and affectionate nature, he helps create a safe, relaxed environment for clients of all ages.

Benefits of Therapy Dogs in Counseling

  • Reduces Anxiety: Just petting or being near a dog can lower stress and anxiety levels, helping clients feel more at ease.

  • Encourages Emotional Expression: For some, having a dog present can make it easier to talk about difficult emotions or experiences.

  • Creates a Safe Space: Charlie’s unconditional support allows clients to feel safe and accepted, which can open the door to healing.

  • Fosters Connection: Animals like Charlie help build trust and rapport, often making it easier for clients to connect with their therapist.

  • Promotes Comfort: Whether it's a tough session or simply a need for some calm, Charlie’s soothing presence provides comfort in times of distress.
